Show Prospects
We occasionally offer show prospects to homes interested in AKC conformation, sports and junior showmanship on co own contracts. We do NOT sell breeding rights or dogs to be bred without being shown.
Co-own requirements are as follows: dog/bitches must be and AKC CH pass OFA eyes and hips before breeding.
Dogs can be bred to co owner's in house bitches that have passed OFA hip and eye exams, however, outside bitches must be approved by breeder, be CH titled and pass OFA hip and eye exams. We will occasionally have young males who have finished their CH titles, passed OFA/pennhip and had a litter or two with us that we don't envision using long term here(our focus is our females). We will make these males available on the same contracts, however the price will be slightly higher to compensate for the the time and effort spent testing and titling. Co-own requirements will be the same, however we would like to see new breeders add a minimum of 2 titles to the dog, one being a GCH. If you are interested in buying an already finished dog for your program, please reach out even if one isn't posted to discuss timeline and details.
Bitches will be co-owned for up to two litters max, then spayed, unless a third litter is granted in writing by breeder. The bitch's first litter will be paired to a Merrygold stud or equivalent from other breeders we work closely with and Merrygold Coris will received 2nd pick puppy back at 10 weeks old. The second sire may be chosen by bitch owner, no puppy is due back. Puppies from these litters should be sold as pets except with written breeder.
These terms are not set to control the new breeder for generations but to allow us to offer our genetics to those new to the fancy who may not have show experience while protecting the quality that is produced using our name, We generally do not breed a bitch more that two litters - so see no reason for a co owner to do so. The goal should be to keep the pick bred by daughers to build on.
We currently have one female available on co-own to a show home. Please contact us for more information.
